Joseph M. Mushinski Jr., 46, Clarks Summit, died Tuesday at Moses Taylor Hospital .

Born in Scranton , son of Ann Kurash Mushinski, Scranton , and the late Joseph M. Mushinski. Educated in Scranton public schools, he was a 1975 graduate of West Scranton High School and a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College and attended Keystone Junior College. He was employed by the Lackawanna County Ambulance Service as a Paramedic and was a part-time employee for the Old Forge Ambulance. He was a Nationally Registered Paramedic, a Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider and was certified as an advanced cardiac life support instructor.

He previously worked for Clifton Park and Halfmoon ambulance, Saratoga Emergency Corps and Malta Ambulance.

He was an avid New York Yankees fan and a loving son and brother who will be deeply missed.

Also surviving are two sisters, Madelyn Bender,
Baltimore , Md. ; and Maria D. Mushinski, Scranton ; a niece and a nephew.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard.

The funeral will be Saturday at
9 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann 's St. , with Mass at 9:30 in SS. Peter and Paul Church, West Scranton , to be celebrated by the Very Rev. Edward J. Shoback, pastor. Interment, parish cemetery, Taylor .

7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
