EMT-Basic

Saratoga County Fire Training Center - Ballston Spa

MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS, 7-10 pm: Starts 9/08/10, NYS Written 3/24/11

Course Instructor: Joyce Eichorst

Tuition $775 (waived for members of recognized EMS response agencies who pass NYS written exam)

Textbooks $85

EMT-B Refresher/Challenge Refresher

Saratoga County Fire Training Center - Ballston Spa*

            *(first three sessions will be held at the Stillwater Rescue Squad EMS Training Center)

MON and WED, 7-10 pm: Starts 9/01/10, Challenge Practical 9/21, NYS Written 12/16/10

Pilot EMT Refresher Core Content Course*

Saratoga County Fire Training Center - Ballston Spa

TUESDAYS, 7-10 pm: Starts 9/14/10, Ending 12/14/10

Course Instructor: Joyce Eichorst

Tuition $250 for all 14 sessions (includes practical skills verification) payable first night of class

            or $25 each for classroom sessions and $90 for Practical Skills verification (2 sessions).

Prerequisites: Current CPR card (BLS/Prof. Resc.) and approval of Instructor

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                   Important Course Information

 

Preference is given to residents of Saratoga County who are Ambulance Corps or Fire Department members, followed by other EMS providers.  Students must bring payment for textbooks (or department voucher), proof of agency membership, and a valid CPR card (BLS or Professional Rescuer) to first night of class (form DOH-3312 available at EMS Council website www.saratogaems.org/Downloads/DOH3312.pdf). Instructor may limit total students to 4 per agency.  All students must bring their own pocket mask to class. Please note: any person who has previously held the same NYS certification or higher level than the course they enroll in must enroll in a refresher course. Students with previous NYS certification who enroll in original courses might be ineligible to sit for the NYS exam.  Contact the Course Instructor or Administrator if you are unsure of your eligibility.  The County EMS Council Course Administrator is Mike McEvoy (office # 383-8608).
