Saratoga County EMS

NYC Task Force Schedule

This schedule was last updated at 3:19 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2001

Saratoga County participated in assisting our EMS brothers and sisters in New York City.  Requests for assistance came through the State Office of Emergency Management to REMO.  Our region had 4 "task forces" consisting of ten ambulances and two fly cars with EMS supervisors.  Saratoga County was partnered with Rensselaer County on Task Force #4.  We scheduled 5 staffed ambulances and 2 medic cars every 4 days.  Rensselaer County scheduled the remaining 5 ambulances.  Mike McEvoy, Saratoga County EMS Coordinator scheduled crews with Corps Captains.  There was no assurance that agencies and personnel scheduled would actually be called to serve.  Ultimately, 2 of the 4 REMO Task Forces did go to New York City for one day each.  (Our Task Force #4 was not deployed)  Task Force Notes contained instructions for people who generously offered to standby for a Task Force.

Each Task Force consists of 5 ambulances (A1 – A5) and two Fly cars (F1 – F2)
